The Feeling at Home exhibition showcases work from the 19 photographers with learning disabilities who took part in our photovoice groups across Brighton and London. They have been meeting together in small ‘photovoice’ groups to reflect on what helps them feel at home, and what gets in the way of this. Read our blog post to find out more about photovoice.
Working with Quiet Down There, the 19 photographers curated an exhibition of their photographs, inviting members of the public to engage with these issues.
The exhibition took place at Phoenix Arts Space in Brighton from 14-25 September 2022 and was a great success:
Over the last year, the exhibition has travelled around the UK to galleries and conferences in Cardiff, London, York, and Shrewsbury reaching an estimated 3000 more members of the public.
Really impressive work and great to see the issue of home being talked about.
